My career began with a deep fascination for the world of hospitality not just as a business, but as a powerful way to connect people, cultures, and emotions. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the human side of this industry. I learned early on that hospitality is not only about providing accommodation but about creating meaningful moments that stay in people’s hearts.

Over the years, I progressed through different professional experiences that gave me a complete understanding of the hotel ecosystem from operations and management to strategy and leadership. That journey eventually led me to co-found Ukino Hotels & Consulting, a company built on the belief that hospitality can be both profitable and profoundly human” – Solange Moreira.

Could you highlight the key offerings of your company?

We see ourselves as a bridge between financial performance and purpose. Our mission goes far beyond numbers we aim to create experiences that touch people, generate emotions, and respect the planet.

At Ukino, we recognise that results matter. Hotel owners, family offices, equity partners, and investment funds seek partners who can combine strategic insight with operational excellence. That’s why our model is designed to deliver sustainable profitability while preserving authenticity, ensuring that each property’s identity and emotional essence remain intact. What are your long-term goals, and where do you envision yourself in the coming years?

“In the coming years, we envision Ukino Hotels expanding its global footprint while preserving the authenticity and human approach that define us. We aim to strengthen our portfolio of managed hotels, develop strategic partnerships, and introduce innovative models that continue to redefine modern hospitality.

Personally, my goal is to keep leading with purpose empowering teams, mentoring new leaders, and contributing to a hospitality ecosystem that is more conscious, inclusive, and sustainable.

Beyond that, we are preparing to launch the Ukino Foundation, an initiative inspired by our values and dedicated to bringing compassion and impact to the forefront of our work. Its mission will be to support children facing terminal illnesses and their families, while also creating space for research and awareness around mental health. It will represent the natural evolution of Ukino’s vision where hospitality meets humanity and a legacy we hope will leave a positive mark that endures well beyond us” – Solange Moreira.

Who has been the most significant source of inspiration in your life?

“Inspiration, for me, has always come from people from those who dare to dream and work tirelessly to make those dreams real. I’ve been deeply inspired by visionary leaders who combine strategy with heart, and by colleagues and mentors who’ve taught me that success is not just measured in results, but in the impact we have on others” – Solange Moreira.

Over the past year, Ukino Hotels and our managed properties have been recognised across multiple categories for quality, sustainability, and innovation distinctions that reflect the dedication of our teams and partners.

A particularly meaningful milestone for us this year was the creation of the BHU Awards – Beyond Hospitality by Ukino, a celebration that allows us to honour our clients, suppliers, and partners those who walk beside us and share our values” – Solange Moreira.

What were the most challenging obstacles you’ve encountered in your career?

“Challenges have been a constant part of my journey but they’ve also been my greatest teachers. One of the biggest lessons has been learning to balance growth with authenticity. In an industry that evolves rapidly, it’s easy to lose sight of purpose while chasing performance. I had to learn that true leadership means staying grounded in values, even when the market pressures you to compromise them” – Solange Moreira.
