My professional career began with an Associate degree and my early years working in sales and marketing. That experience gave me a strong foundation in business, communication, and the importance of building relationships, lessons that have stayed with me throughout my career.

As I continued to grow, I made the decision to return to college to earn my Bachelor’s degree, and later my Master’s. At that time, I was not originally planning a career in Human Resources. In fact, I found HR somewhat unexpectedly after a college professor recognized something in me, encouraged me to explore the field, and connected me with an internship opportunity.

That first internship changed everything. It quickly confirmed that HR was where I belonged. I saw firsthand the impact the function could have on people, leadership, culture, and overall business success. I followed that experience with another HR internship while transitioning into graduate school, and from there, I began building my career with clear direction and purpose.

I was fortunate to rise into senior leadership roles relatively quickly and went on to spend more than 25 years in corporate Human Resources across multiple industries. During that time, I gained extensive real-world experience leading through growth, organizational change, hiring challenges, restructures, leadership development, and critical workforce decisions that shape long-term success.

That foundation ultimately led me to launch HRKyle Services, where I now help organizations and professionals navigate hiring, leadership, workforce transformation, and career growth with practical, experience-driven guidance.

Could you highlight the key offerings?

At HRKyle Services, our work is centred around four primary channels designed to help organizations grow stronger while keeping people at the center of every decision.

First, we provide HR consulting with a strong focus on talent acquisition and workforce transformation. We help organizations hire the right people, strengthen hiring processes, build sustainable talent pipelines, and successfully navigate periods of change such as restructures, growth, mergers, and operational shifts. Our philosophy is simple: people decisions are business decisions, and the best outcomes happen when organizations never lose sight of the human side of change.

Second, we offer training solutions for leaders, managers, HR teams, and employees. Our sessions cover key areas such as leadership development, hiring best practices, workplace culture, communication, AI in the workplace, compliance, and professional growth. We believe training should be practical, engaging, and immediately applicable, not theoretical content that is quickly forgotten.

Third, we provide permanent placement services, helping organizations identify, attract, and secure top talent for critical roles. We take a consultative approach to recruiting by understanding both the technical requirements of the position and the cultural alignment needed for long-term success.

Fourth, we offer executive and career coaching for leaders and professionals at all stages of their careers. This includes leadership coaching, career transition support, interview strategy, resume positioning, executive presence, and helping individuals confidently navigate their next chapter.

Across all four channels, our mission remains the same: to help organizations build stronger teams and empower people to build better futures.

What are your long-term goals, and where do you envision yourself in the coming years?

My long-term goals are centered around impact, growth, and legacy. I want HRKyle Services to continue expanding as a trusted resource for organizations that need real-world support with hiring, leadership, workforce transformation, and people strategy. While there is no shortage of advice in the marketplace, many companies are looking for practical guidance from someone who has actually sat in those HR and leadership roles. I want us to continue filling that need in a meaningful and results-driven way.

I also see continued growth in our training and speaking platforms. I genuinely enjoy helping leaders and teams think differently, challenge outdated approaches, and prepare for what comes next, especially as workplaces continue to evolve through AI, changing employee expectations, and shifting business demands. I believe the future belongs to organizations that can successfully balance performance with humanity, and I want to play an active role in shaping that conversation.

On the individual side, I remain committed to helping professionals build stronger, more confident careers through coaching, mentoring, and career development resources. There is something incredibly rewarding about helping someone regain confidence, secure new opportunities, or step into leadership for the first time.

Looking ahead, I envision growing HRKyle Services on a national scale, expanding strategic partnerships, increasing our media and educational reach, and continuing to build platforms that support both businesses and individuals. Just as importantly, I want to keep doing meaningful work, stay connected to people, and create something that leaves a lasting impact beyond my own career.

Who has been the most significant source of inspiration in your life?

Honestly, it has not been one single person, but rather a combination of family history, life experiences, and the examples set by those who came before me.

A major source of motivation came from growing up in a challenging environment and spending many years in or near poverty. There were not many expectations placed on me to achieve something significant. That kind of environment can either limit a person or push them to create something more. For me, it became fuel. It instilled a strong drive to build a different future and to prove that where you begin does not have to define where you end up.

My parents, grandparents, and relatives have been a tremendous source of inspiration. They came from humble beginnings, shaped by difficult economic circumstances, yet they carried themselves with resilience, discipline, and determination. They understood sacrifice and perseverance, and those values were passed down in ways that continue to guide me today.

I have also been inspired by learning more about my family’s deeper roots in American history. With ancestors dating back to the early colonies of the 1620s and 1630s, and a direct connection to George Washington, I have developed a deeper appreciation for courage, leadership, service, and the idea of contributing to something greater than oneself.

At the same time, I am equally inspired by relatives and community members whose names may never appear in history books but who made meaningful impacts locally and regionally. These are individuals who built businesses, supported their families, mentored others, and strengthened the communities around them.

If I had to summarize it, my greatest inspiration comes from the understanding that legacy is not defined by recognition alone. It is defined by character, contribution, and what each generation chooses to build moving forward.

Over the years, HRKyle Services has been fortunate to receive a number of recognitions that reflect the organization’s growth, the quality of its services, and the impact delivered to clients. The team has been acknowledged for its professionalism, practical expertise, and meaningful contributions across consulting, training, recruiting, and coaching.

On a personal level, I have been honored with recognition for leadership, speaking, business development, community involvement, and my work within the HR and career development space. These acknowledgments are appreciated, as they represent the value of experience-driven insights and the ability to make a measurable difference.

In addition, many of the training programs we deliver through our platforms and partners have received respected industry approvals and continuing education recognition, including HR Certification Institute (HRCI)-approved programming. This is particularly meaningful, as it reflects a strong commitment to quality, relevance, and maintaining high professional standards.

That said, while awards and recognitions are valued, I have always believed that the most important recognition is the trust our clients place in us. When organizations rely on us to support hiring, workforce transformation, leadership challenges, training initiatives, or critical business decisions, that level of confidence carries far greater significance than any title or accolade.

The same holds true when professionals trust us with their careers, whether they are navigating transitions, pursuing leadership growth, or seeking new opportunities. Knowing that our real-world HR and training experience continues to deliver value, and that clients return to us and refer others, is the recognition I value most.

At the end of the day, accolades are appreciated, but credibility built through results, relationships, and long-term impact is what matters most to me and to HRKyle Services.

What were the most challenging obstacles you’ve encountered in your career?

Like anyone who builds a career over time, I have faced my share of obstacles, setbacks, disappointments, and difficult people along the way. Those challenges have taken many forms, including being doubted, underestimated, dismissed, disrespected, overlooked, or told in one way or another what I could not do.

What I have learned, however, is that I do not believe in living in those moments or allowing them to define the story. I try not to focus on obstacles simply for the sake of focusing on them. Instead, I choose to learn from them, grow through them, and use them as fuel for what comes next.

Some of the most difficult challenges in any career are not always external circumstances, but the perceptions others place on you. There are people who may not see your value, question your ability, or assume limits for you that should never have been theirs to assign. I have certainly experienced that.

If I am being honest, I also remember those moments. Whether that is a flaw or a source of motivation, I am not entirely sure. But I have always believed that the best response to doubt is progress, the best response to disrespect is success, and the best response to being dismissed is to continue building something undeniable.

Rather than allowing those experiences to hold me back, I have used them to push myself forward. They have sharpened my work ethic, strengthened my resilience, and reinforced the importance of believing in yourself, even when others may not.

So while obstacles are an inevitable part of any journey, I view them less as barriers and more as preparation. Many of the very things that were meant to slow me down ultimately became the reasons I kept moving forward.

Closing Perspective

If there is one thing I have learned throughout my journey, it is that success is not defined by where you start, but by the decisions you make along the way and the consistency with which you keep moving forward.

We are living in a time where change is constant. Workplaces are evolving, technology is reshaping how we operate, and expectations around leadership continue to shift. In the middle of all of that, one thing remains true: people are still the foundation of every successful organization. No strategy, system, or technology can replace the value of strong leadership, clear communication, and a genuine investment in people.

For organizations, the challenge is not just to adapt, but to adapt in a way that balances performance with humanity. The companies that will succeed in the long term are those that recognize that business outcomes and people outcomes are not separate, they are deeply connected.

For individuals, the message is just as important. Careers are no longer linear, and the path forward is not always clear. There will be uncertainty, setbacks, and moments of doubt. But growth comes from staying committed, continuing to learn, and being willing to take the next step, even when the outcome is not guaranteed.

As I look ahead, my focus remains simple. Continue doing meaningful work. Help organizations make better decisions. Help people build stronger, more confident careers. Stay grounded in the belief that progress, no matter how small it may seem at the time, always matters.

At the end of the day, it is not about titles or recognition. It is about impact, relationships, and the difference you make along the way.
