My career journey began with a strong curiosity about technology and a desire to understand how technology could solve real business problems. As a small-town boy from Kanpur, I started with curiosity and a willingness to learn, which gradually evolved into a professional journey spanning more than 18 years across enterprise technology, cloud computing, Microsoft Dynamics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and business applications.
Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work across diverse roles and environments, ranging from technology implementation and solution architecture to consulting, leadership, training, and business strategy. A significant part of my professional journey has been centered around the Microsoft ecosystem, particularly Azure, Microsoft Dynamics, Power Platform, AI, and enterprise transformation.
One of the most valuable aspects of my career has been working with organizations across different industries and geographies. Every implementation presents a unique business challenge. While technology can be standardized, the way an organization operates, serves its customers, manages its people, and makes decisions is always different.
Over the years, I have contributed to and supported hundreds of technology initiatives and have had the privilege of mentoring and training thousands of professionals and students. These experiences have reinforced my belief that technology leadership is not simply about understanding technology. It is about understanding people, processes, business objectives, risks, and outcomes.
My career has therefore evolved from being primarily technology-focused to becoming increasingly business-focused. One of our important objectives is to develop intellectual property and repeatable industry solutions rather than relying exclusively on traditional consulting models. We want to build solutions that address common business challenges across industries while still allowing the flexibility required by individual organizations. AI will be a major component of this journey.
I believe we are moving from an era of software applications to an era of intelligent business systems. I have been fortunate to draw inspiration from many people throughout my journey. Rather than identifying a single individual, I would say that my greatest inspiration has come from people who continuously learn, overcome adversity, help others, and create opportunities for those around them.
My family has been an important source of strength. They have supported me through the demanding phases of my professional journey and reminded me of the importance of balance, humility, and perseverance.
Professionally, I have also been inspired by technology leaders, entrepreneurs, architects, mentors, colleagues, customers, and students. One lesson that has stayed with me throughout my career is that leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about building the right team, asking the right questions, listening carefully, and creating an environment where people can succeed.
I am particularly inspired by people who share knowledge rather than keeping it to themselves. This is one reason I have invested significant time in technical education, mentoring, writing, community activities, workshops, and professional knowledge sharing.
For me, success becomes more meaningful when it creates opportunities for others.

What Were the Most Challenging Obstacles You’ve Encountered in Your Career?
Every meaningful career comes with challenges, and my journey has certainly had its share.
One of the biggest challenges has been staying relevant in an industry that changes incredibly quickly. Technology that was considered cutting-edge a few years ago can become legacy technology surprisingly fast. Cloud transformed infrastructure. SaaS transformed enterprise applications. AI is now transforming how applications themselves operate.
The only sustainable response is continuous learning.
Another challenge has been moving from being an individual technology expert to becoming a business and organizational leader. As a technical professional, it is natural to focus on architecture, solutions, and implementation. As a leader, however, you must think about people, customers, financial sustainability, strategy, culture, risk, operations, and long-term growth simultaneously.
That transition requires a different mindset.
Building teams is another significant challenge. Technology organizations depend heavily on talent, but finding people with the right combination of technical capability, business understanding, communication skills, ownership, and a learning mindset is not easy.
I believe that hiring is only the beginning. Developing people and creating an environment where they can grow is equally important.
Another challenge is managing transformation across complex enterprise environments. Customers may have decades-old processes, legacy systems, organizational dependencies, and multiple ERP and CRM platforms. Transformation cannot happen simply because a new technology is available.
Successful transformation requires communication, leadership sponsorship, change management, training, governance, integration, and patience.
I have learned that the hardest problems are often not purely technical problems. They are people, process, integration, and change-management problems.
Perhaps the most important lesson I have learned from challenges is that setbacks are not necessarily failures. They can become opportunities to reassess, learn, adapt, and come back stronger.
My approach has always been to keep moving forward.

AI, cloud, data, automation, cybersecurity, ERP, CRM, and intelligent applications will increasingly converge. Organizations will need leaders who can understand both technology and business.
My message to technology professionals and young leaders is simple:
