“My career journey started with a dream—a dream to inspire others through knowledge, as I envisioned myself becoming a university professor. That passion for learning and exploration naturally led me into the world of academia, where I began as an academic research scientist. I was fortunate to join a pioneering research team that focused on revolutionizing digital construction processes, tools, and methodologies.

This role was a perfect blend of my architectural roots and my enthusiasm for strategic innovation. From day one, I found myself drawn to projects that required creative problem-solving and addressing challenges that had yet to be tackled. It was exhilarating to be part of initiatives that had the potential to transform the way we approach design and construction, not just incrementally but on a systemic level.

As I grew in my career, I realized that my passion extended beyond research. I thrived in environments that allowed me to reimagine processes, embrace emerging technologies, and drive digital transformation. Over the years, I honed my skills in these areas, always driven by a commitment to creating strategies that delivered tangible, impactful outcomes.

One of the most pivotal moments in my career was the development of the digital building lifecycle. I aim to expand the influence of the digital building lifecycle by introducing it to emerging markets, cultivating strategic alliances, and driving industry innovation through advanced technology and actionable insights. This vision includes redefining how industries view tradition and innovation—not as opposing forces but as complementary drivers of progress. My ultimate objective is to provide businesses and communities with tools and strategies that are efficient, forward-thinking, and aligned with global climate goals.

Personally, I am committed to mentoring and advocating for the next generation of leaders, embedding in them the principles of purposeful innovation and collaborative leadership. The construction and real estate sectors, rich with potential, are deeply rooted in longstanding practices. Introducing innovative concepts like digital transformation and operational digitalization was often met with resistance—not due to a lack of interest, but because of the uncertainty that comes with embracing large-scale change.

Balancing the push for innovation with the need for operational stability presented a complex and delicate challenge. As a leader, I needed to inspire confidence and build trust while simultaneously questioning established norms. Aligning diverse teams—each with unique experiences, viewpoints, and priorities—required me to paint a clear and compelling picture of the future we could build together. This process was far from straightforward. It demanded resilience to weather setbacks, flexibility to refine strategies when needed, and unwavering belief in the transformative power of the changes I was championing.

One key strategy that proved invaluable was transparent communication through “show and tell.” I learned that introducing a new way of thinking begins with active listening—taking the time to understand the concerns, aspirations, and perceived barriers of those involved.
